Varied circular hiking trail through the Schlaubetal: pine forests, lakes, moors and the historic Siehdichum forester's cemetery invite you to enjoy a varied day tour. Experience nature with bird watching, idyllic forest scenery and refreshment stops. Length/duration: 8 kilometres, approx. 2-2.5 hours Start/finish: Mixdorf bus stop, Kupferhammer Arrival/departure: RE 1 to Jacobsdorf, continue by bus A400 to Kupferhammer (April-October on weekends & public holidays) Description The trail leads through pine forest towards Schervenzsee, past holiday cottages and small banks with views of water birds. Winding paths alternate with new views, junipers and thujas line the path. The next stage is characterised by a dry moorland area with a black alder quarry and moss-covered roots. Past the Siehdichum forester's cemetery, the trail descends to the certified Schlaubetal hiking trail. A detour to the Siehdichum forester's lodge is a good place to take a break. The trail leads along the Schinkensee, Langer See and Schulzenwasser lakes, which are fed by the Schlaube, back to the Kupferhammer with its striking fish ladder.
